How Transcript Shield Processes Your Transcripts
Transcript Shield performs transcript cleaning, PII detection, and redaction locally in your browser.
When you open a transcript:
Transcript content is processed on your device.
Transcript content is not transmitted to Transcript Shield during processing.
Redaction results remain on your device until you choose to export them.
Because transcript content is processed locally, Transcript Shield cannot access or recover its contents as part of the cleaning process.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, organization, and billing details. Payment information is processed by our payment provider and is not stored by Transcript Shield.
Workspace settings
We store the information needed to manage your workspace across sessions, including workspace settings and custom dictionary terms.
Technical and usage information
We collect limited technical information such as feature usage, browser and device details, and error reports to operate, secure, and improve the service. This information does not include transcript content.
What We Do Not Collect
Transcript Shield does not collect or store:
Transcript content
Detected or redacted PII
Speaker labels or diarization data
Exported transcript files
How We Use Your Information
We use account and technical information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Transcript Shield, process payments, and provide customer support.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or AI model training.
Data Sharing
We share account information only with trusted service providers that help us operate Transcript Shield, including infrastructure providers, analytics services, and payment processors.
These providers are contractually required to protect your information and only receive the data necessary to provide their services. Transcript content processed locally in your browser is not shared with them.
Data Ownership and Control
Transcript content remains under your control throughout the processing workflow. Account information may be updated or deleted at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
If you request account deletion, we will remove your account information from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to standard backup retention practices.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to restrict certain processing activities.
